An original menu with a mix of Taiwanese steamed buns, Asian favourites and some signature twists from the chefs. From the only kimchi you order more of, to the fluffy bao, we’ve got a bit of something for everyone. Ingredients come straight in from small suppliers around South East London and Asia. Everything we serve is fresh for you.
We want Mr Bao to be for everyone, so we have a mixture of bookable tables, and tables saved for walk-ins on the day. If you can’t find the time you’re looking for, click the “Submit a request” button and we’ll do our best to fit you in. Alternatively, just turn up and we’ll bend over backwards to look after you.
If you’d like to eat with us, but aren’t in South East London, luckily we’ve got other places you can try. Master Bao in Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City, and Daddy Bao in Tooting, as well as a new cocktail bar called Good Measure. They all have their own way of doing things, but we’re sure you’ll be just as happy when you leave.
Mr Bao has been serving up London’s fluffiest buns since 2016. Based in Peckham, we’re a neighbourhood restaurant: informal, comfortable, personal. We’re all about great food and exceptional service in a relaxed atmosphere at a price everyone can afford.
